With Easter fast approaching we have cleared the snow off the tracks and started to work up some steam with THE STATION ready to roll for 2009. Having successfully premiered the show at our eight commissioning festivals in 2008, we are now taking bookings throughout the UK and Europe.

A showcase trade fair in Freiburg in February has already brought in a stream of bookings in Germany, and we have also secured a residency at the Dommelhof Theatre, in Neerpelt, Belgium at the end of May. This will be followed by performances at surrounding festivals. We are also returning to the FETA festival in Gdansk, Poland, in July, where we performed CLIFFHANGER! two years ago. With bookings also in the UK, France, Holland and Italy, the diary is fast filling-up, so please contact us as soon as possible with any enquiries.

We are also in the process of fabricating some shipping crates for a proposed trip to South Korea in September, and possibly to China next year, with CLIFFHANGER! - which is all very exciting.

Closer to home, we have just heard that we were successful in our grant application for a small indoor touring show - again on a silent movie theme - which will be touring Cornwall and beyond from November onwards.

But before all that, we have some modifications to make to THE STATION, followed by a few shows in Cornwall in April, and then it's full steam ahead for Northern Ireland, where we will be performing both THE STATION and CLIFFHANGER! at the Festival of Fools in Belfast on 3rd and 4th May.

Let us know if you would like any publicity material or DVDs!

THE STATION

Set in a dilapidated railway station in the age of steam locomotives, THE STATION is a silent comedy with live accordion music and sound effects. Be prepared for a dramatic train crash, a dare-devil rescue and some great comedy action.

The story involves a gang of art thieves who are on the search for a stolen masterpiece which has been delivered to a remote railway station. The situation becomes further complicated by the arrival of a band of musicians for a Grand Concert to be given that night. The station staff, of course, set out to make sure that the 'lost property' is restored to its rightful owner.

"A wild locomotive ride of energy and excitement. Visually delightful, full of screwball comedy, rollicking romance, madcap mishaps and great special effects - a real railroad romp!"
Angus MacKechnie, National Theatre

"Brave and talented...hugely entertaining...superb mime...it was non-stop acrobatic fun."
Western Morning News

"Superbly executed, full of fun. The audience LOVED it. A great show for any age."
Mhairi Smith, Gloucester Festival

"An entertainment feast with delicious morsels of mime, music circus and theatre. A great show."
Liz Lavender, Swindon Summer Festival

CLIFFHANGER! a real-life silent movieBash Street Theatre - CLIFFHANGER!

Winner of the “best street show” award at the Fira de Teatre in Tàrrega, Spain in 2006

Back by popular demand, CLIFFHANGER! has been our most enduring and successful show, and has been performed throughout the UK and nine European countries. We are still constantly revising and improving the production, and we will be touring it as long as there is demand. So please contact us soon if you have not yet booked this award-winning show.

With falling buildings, dare-devil escapology, slap-stick humour and live piano accompaniment “CLIFFHANGER!” is a silent-movie style production that returns to the golden age of the silver screen. Inspired by Buster Keaton’s short film ‘Convict 13’, this action-packed silent comedy show has been enjoyed throughout Europe by young and old alike.

"A very clever, witty and well thought out show, and a fantastic finale...kept young and old entranced for a full hour."
